55. Another birthday - another decoration

On Sunday my grandmother celebrated her 90th birthday. It was a lovely day and I was glad that I could be with almost my whole family (and my family is really big!).
Like on my uncle's birthday there was a decoration on the tables. And like on my uncle's birthday of course I couldn't resist to play with it (but at least this time nothing flew through the air...).

Those flowers stand for this lovely day and for the hope that there will many more like that.

54. Sgt pepper's lonely hearts club band standing on a flower meadow

Well, I think the title of this post says almost everything. Three things to add:

1. This is a birthday present for a schoolfriend of mine whose birthday is the same day as mine (and who will celebrate it this evening... actually in 20 minute... mhh, I have to hurry...).

2. I took the idea and the drafts for the figures from another yearlong project called "Toy-A-Day", a website which is really worth visiting.

3. The meadow in reality is a DVD, wrapped in some blank paper, painted with flowers ;)

53. Salty flower

Today I bought some Himalaya salt. I like the colour and I'm looking forward to fill it into my salt mill. But first I made a flower of it.

52. Pizza =)

Yesterday I had a second birthday party with my friends from school/ childhood and my bachelor studies. Again we had pizza ;) Somehow this has become a habit. When I asked one of my friends if she wanted to come, the first thing she asked was "Will we have pizza again?"

So here is my pizza-flower:

In addition I have to show you something my brother made from my birthday presents he had bought for me (different kinds of sweets). I found it so cute to imagine my almost 19 years old brother sitting at my desk and putting those sweets in their place to make flowers for me =)

51. Cough drop wrapper

Yesterday, during a seminar at the university, I made this flower out of cough drop wrappers (I had plenty of them because of my sore throat). Lena was so kind to take a photo of it. Fortunately I didn't wait with this until arriving at home, because I lost it very soon (but for at least half an hour it served as a beautiful button hole flower).

50. How to make unique paper clips

First you take paper clips...

...then you bend them until they look like flowers (or at least like some kind of modern, blob-like flowers)...

...which you can use as paper clips again:

49. Mints

Well, again I am a bit behind with my flowers. These two are for Monday. I made them out of star-shaped mints I found in the small commode under my desk:

... and no, they are not snowflakes.
